An electrical storm from start to finish. I shot this from the balcony of my old flat in Bristol in the summer of 2006.
It's shot on a simple camcorder on mini-DV and edited on iMovie.
It features some timelapse photography, lightening strikes and music by Craig Armstrong (track 1- 'Weather Storm', track 2- 'After the Storm').
My two sisters and my Mum came to see me while I was at Uni in Bristol.
They are a pair of stinkers and my mum is crazy but I love them so I had to put this up here.
This is an extended shot of one I took of a sunset for my short film 'Cornwall'. The colours are so incredible I had to upload it in its entirity but it is sped up double speed so the cam shake from the wind is more exaggerated. It was shot in August 2006 above a small Cornish coastal town called Porthtowan on a Sony PD-150 in mini DV format. The music is 'Everloving' by Moby.
This is a behind the scenes look at what it took to get the explosion shot from the hostage scene in my dissertation film (from Bristol Uni film school) 'Cell'. I didn't shoot this, or edit it, I was too busy directing it all and driving the car to our deaths; it was actually made by another student on the course, my AD, Sarah Malibar. All credit goes to her, including the aweful music! lol
Forget Test Matches, ODI's or 20/20 finals, all the excitment in the world of cricket is focused in the back of the tender when two of the greatest stars of the Runners Cricket League go head to head.
Goofing around in the scanner waiting on the FACS check after we have set up the cameras for the final test match on the West Indies/England series 2007. Here you can see my counterpart runner Nick showing off his mixing skills as I direct the shots; clearly a sign of things to come for Sky Sports.
My first film school assignment! I'm sure it's absolutely of no interest to anyone but what the hell, I thought I'd put it up here. Plus the Pixies are cool so at least you'll get to enjoy them. R.B
On an errand the two Sky Sports runners find a giant puddle in Birmingham and drive through it several times. Then shoot in on a video phone.
(Put up at Nicks request, I'm pretty happy if no one see's this one...)
