Notre Dame scores a late touchdown vs. Georgia Tech, enabling senior walk-on Dan Ruettiger to play in ND's final home game of 1975. Though uncredited by radio announcer Don Criqui, Ruettiger sacks the quarterback on the final play of the game, achieving a lifelong dream of playing football for Notre Dame. That was the sentence we heard over and over from families who had firefighter sons, brothers, husbands and fathers killed on 9/11, from experts on emergency response, and from investigative journalists.
