Me messin' around with the poly 800 II - not yet modded. I got this synth in 2007 for $100 - it was slightly battered and missing a key. Amazed at how scuzzy (in a good way) and dark about 1/4th of the sounds are. Another good portion are heavenly sounding. Hopefully soon to be modded with the moog slayer.

This video demonstrates some of the new sounds that the Korg Poly 800 can make when fitted with the HAWK-800 upgrade kit. These sounds focus on the LFO's of which there are now four and the various waveforms available as well as LFO rate modulation and random sample and hold.

Vintage Synths Vol 1 - KORG Poly 800
German synth historian Matthias Becker produced a CD series back in 1990 with tracks made with one synth only. The CDs were named "Synthesizers Von Gestern Vol 1/2/3". This track was composed by Klaus Stülen at Originalton West Studio / Köln.
