By special request: Susan Lucci finally wins the Emmy after 19 nominations. Her acceptance speech is quite long and credit goes to the awards people for not cutting her off.
Part 1. Special request: The Webbers have invited Grant Putnam over for dinner. Blackie starts stealing food so he can bring it to Lou later that night. He and Amy bicker as usual.
Edward has a nightmare at Thanksgiving...and it's one of the funniest nightmares. From the Godfather like music when Sonny appears to Lila declaring that she's going to the Dominican.
April 21, 1997. Part 2. Emily collapses and her heart stops. Jason arrives and performs CPR before the paramedics rush her to GH. Alan and Monica continue to argue about AJ while at the hospital. Alan pops some pills. Unaware of what's going on at home, Alan and Monica leave the hospital.
By the way, just look at that scene. All those men around Emily. Wow.
April 21, 1997. Part 1. While Ned and Jax are trying to stop Emily from killing herself, Alan and Monica are at the hospital arguing about AJ. Monica accuses Alan of not loving AJ and dredges up ancient history. Jason reads a letter from AJ.
I've left out the Carly/AJ bed scenes again. If you're wondering, they're up in Jason's room conceiving Michael.
November 26, 1996. Monica tells AJ and Emily the good news about her health and about Alan. Jason drops by to talk to Monica. Emily becomes more withdrawn, angry and confused.
April 22, 1997. Alan and Monica finally get to the hospital where they find Dorman is Emily's doctor. Dorman makes a crack and Jax threatens to have his licence pulled (yay Jax!). Ned feels badly that he didn't notice Emily's drug use. Monica blames herself as well and also feels guilty for letting Paige down. Jason watches over Emily and won't leave her alone.
July 14, 1997. Part 2/2. Jason arrives at the hospital after being shot by the Tin Man. Robin and the Quartermaines wait for news on Jason. Alan blames Sonny and rants about him. Robin defends Sonny. Jax convinces Rebecca to help them.
July 18, 1997. Part 2/2. Lila and Emily visit Jason in the hospital. Emily thinks that Monica murdered Dorman and is asking her loaded questions. She avoids answering them. Jason wants Emily to help him get out of the hospital. He can barely stand up but Emily agrees. (Not the brightest thing to do.) (more) (less)
March 12, 1997. Keesha learns the truth about the night when Jason's brains got scrambled on the road. Despite Ned's warnings not to, AJ tells her the truth. She's not happy to hear that the she's been lied to all this time. She confronts Alan at the hospital. Nobody comes out looking pretty in this clip.
June 20, 1997. Part 2. The cast of Port Charles cross over to GH. Edward natters on with AJ but Lila says it's because he's got stage fright. The women get prepared for the Fashion Show opening number (Amy is producing it!). This is a hilarious montage of them preening and dressing. Alan sings the opening number (from Stuart Damon's days as Prince Charming on Cinderella).
In this 1990 clip, Frisco and Felicia bring Maxie home to the brownstone for the very first time. They also tell everybody why they gave her a boy's name!
Watch closely and you'll see Shep Casey (not the alien Casey) and Cheryl Stansbury.
June 20, 1997. Part 3. Everybody mingles. Karen talks with Jason for the first time since Jason's accident. They talk about Robin and Stone. V tells Jax she bought her dress at the Thrift Shop. Emily wonders why all the Quartermaine are musical. Bobbie and Luke pretend to be mad at each other. Taggert and Garcia get a search warrant for Brenda's place and her car.
